Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and family history of the Simpson (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Germany, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Some Simpson were aligned with the Fraser Clan of Lovat from the Loch Ness area in Scotland. Many settled in Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some settled in Quebec (Canada), and in Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Some focus is on (but not limited to) the Simpson families who settled in the Upper Haw River Area in Guilford County and Rockingham County, North Carolina, and in the Haw River Area of Tennessee. During the 1800's, some moved to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Ontario (Canada), and to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, the Indian Terrirory of Oklahoma, Oregon and West Virginia. Later descendants also lived in France, and in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington D.C., Washington, Wyoming and elsewhere. Some names are given for their slaves.
Also includes Campbell, Deweese, Hicks, Kirkman, Knight, Marsilliot, Moreland, Rotherah, Ryan and other related families.

Most issues include a name index.
A cumulative name index for vols. 1-4 of this serial, and vols. 4-12 of the continuting serial is available from the editor.
Frequency varies: Monthly (1985-1986); bi-monthly (1986-1988).
Some issues are undated.
