Johann Georg Bode II was born on October 7, 1704 in Grandenborn. He was the son of Johann Georg and Elisabeth Hohmann Bode.
His birth was at the time when Prussia was proclaimed in 1701. Prussia was greatly strenghtened by Emperor Frederick I, born 1688 and died 1740. (He reigned 1713-1740.). Prussia was instrumental in the unification of Germany.
Johann Georg married Anna Barbara Eberhard, daughter of Georg Eberhard, born on 15 Aug 1708. Johann Georg II married Anna Barbara Eberhard on 05 Jan 1737. Johann Georg’s trade was a “mauer” (brick mason) like his father before him.
Two years later Johann Georg and Anna Barbara had their first child, Ernst Michael Bode born 16 Aug 1739. Johann Christian followed on 02 Jun 1744, Catherine Elisabeth on 26 Jul 1746, and Georg Heinrich Bode, the third generation in our line of ancestry. Georg Heinrich Bode was born on 25 July 1748.
The children of Johann Georg and Anna Barbara Eberhard Bode were Ernst Michael, Johann Christian, Catharina Elisabeth, and Georg Heinrich Bode.
