POCATELLO (Idaho)- Gary Horrocks (Big Gary), 60, died Nov. 11, 2003, at a Pocatello medical center.

He was born April 29, 1943, in Neola, Utah, to Royal J. and Viola Gagosian Horrocks.

He married Blenda Billings on June 4, 1965, in Pocatello. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She died of cancer in 1995. He married Sharon McKeachnie in the Ogden, Utah, LDS Temple in 1995. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

He owned and operated Big Gary's Little Store for 35 years. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a southern states honorable mission for the LDS church.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and gardening. He loved to help Blenda with her drama productions, of which there were many, and spending time doing whatever with his boys.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon McKeachnie Horrocks; children, Gary R. (Shannon) Horrocks of Meridian, Troy C. Horrocks of Pocatello; step-children, Cory (Vickie) Kellogg of Phoenix, Brian (Kathy) Kellogg of Vernal, Utah, Merlynn (Robert) Bott of West Jordan, Utah; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Modena (Berle) Bell, of Vernal, Utah, Arlene (Jim) Frost of Richfield, Utah; brothers, Howard (Faye) Horrocks of Neola, Utah, Garth (Joy) Horrocks of Vernal, Utah; brothers-in-law, Gib Hullinger and Donald Laris of Roosevelt, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Minola Laris and Arake Hullinger.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the LDS Cedar Building, 550 W. Cedar with Bishop Antonia Barela Jr. officiating. Family will meet with friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave., Pocatello, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday before services at the church. Burial will be in the Mountainview Cemetery.
