"On the three rolls of this microfilm publication, M2046, are reproduced card manifests of over 17,600 alien arrivals at Jackman, ME, ca. 1909-August 1, 1953. In addition, some manifests document citizen arrivals, and a few document arrivals from 1899 to 1908. The cards are arranged alphabetically and include permanent and temporary arrivals. These records are part of the Records of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, Record Group (RG) 85." -- p. 1.
Includes name, age, sex, marital status, place of birth, occupation, citizenship, race, place of last permanent residence, port and date of arrival, destination, purpose for entering the United States, name and address of friend or relative intended to join in the U.S., and other information.
