Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Weatherford families who probably came from Wales. Many settled in Georgia, Kentucky, and Virginia (especially in Halifax County). In the 1800s, some moved to the Bahamas, and to Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, the Indian Territory, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. Some focus is on (but not limited to) William Weatherford (1780-1824), also known as Chief Red Eagle, of the Creek Nation. William was the son of Charles Weatherford and Sehoy who was of the Creek Nation. William married three times. In 1801, he married Mary Moniac, who died in 1804. In 1813, he married Sofath Kaney Moniac, who died in 1813. And in 1817, he married Mary Stiggins, who died in 1832. Later families also lived in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington D.C., and elsewhere. Some have African American and/or American Indian bloodlines.

Includes reprints of the column "Centennial Weatherford" by Ed Lovenberg, published in the Weatherford Daily News (Weatherford, Oklahoma) from November 5, 1989 through ca. January 1990. The column is about the history of the town of Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Vol. 14 no. 3 (July 1995) was misnumbered as vol. 16 no. 4 (Mar 1995). Vol. 14 no. 4 (July 1995) was misnumbered as vol. 16 no. 3 (July 1995), which was followed by vol. 15 no. 1 (Sept 1995) and vol. 15 no. 2 (Dec 1995), which was followed by vol. 17 no. 3 (Mar 1996) and vol. 17 no. 4 (June 1996). Vol. 24 no. 1 (Aug 2002) was misnumbered as vol. 33 no. 4 (Aug 2002).
