Contains church records from Børnehuset, Forbedringshuset, Rasphuset , Tugthuset og Kvindefængslet på Christianshavn. The Børnehuset (foundling home) was established in 1662. In 1789 it was replaced by the Tugt-,Rasp-and Forbedringshuset which were different types of workhouses and prisons. This was replaced in 1870 by a womens prison which was disbanded in 1928.
Omfatter kirkebøger fra Børnehuset på Christianshavn, Tugt-, Rasp- og Forbedringshuset og Kvindefængslet på Christianshavn. Børnehuset på Christianshavn oprettedes i h.t. åbent brev af 18. marts 1662. I h.t. kg. res. af 29. maj 1789 omdannedes Børnehuset til Tugt-, Rasp- og Forbedringshus. Dette nedlagdes 1870 og omdannedes til straffeanstalt for kvinder, hvilket nedlagdes 1928.
