Probate records for Eiker, Modum, and Sigdal judicial districts in Buskerud county. They include these places: Eiker, Modum, Nykirke, Snarum, Eggedal, Krødsherad, Sigdal, Nedre Eiker, Fiskum, Bakke, Haug and Heggen. The probate records usually contain the date of the probate, name of the deceased, names of heirs, guardians and trustees, inventory lists, land and holdings, and other miscellaneous information. There is a separate card index on film # 1149123 which was filmed in 1982 on 16 mm. film. See the book: Probate records of Buskerud county, Norway volume 3 pages 57-90 for an extraction of the names of the testators for the years 1827-1852. The book call # is: Scand 948.25 P2.
