An index to living and proxy endowments performed between 1846 and 1969 in L.D.S. temples. The index was compiled from 1922-1971. Sections of the file for American Indians, Orientals and Medieval persons are cataloged separately.
The cards are arranged by country and then within the country, alphabetically by surname, given name, and date of birth or christening.
Spelling variations for names pronounced similarly are filed together. reference cards from the variant surname spellings are included in the file. An explanation of the filing order is included at the beginning of each film.
