Calendar of the grants of probate and letters of administration made in the principal registry and in the several district registries, 1858-1920

Uwagi

Jurisdiction of the Dublin Principal Probate Registry included the counties of Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, part of Offaly (King's), and a general jurisdiction throughout Ireland to 1920, and in the Republic of Eire since that date.

The calendar includes extracts from each will: name of the deceased, residence & date of death; date & district of administration or probate; name of executor or administrator. (Note: the calendar may be the only records of many wills, due to the destruction of the Public Record Office in 1922.).

Includes a general index, which is a concise index to the calendars, and a card index, which indexes only Republic of Eire wills.
