Based on the children's ages I believe that the family is seated as follows left to right: Hannah Johnson on lap, Ernest Johnson, Edward Johnson, and Amanda Johnson on Frank's lap. Second row left to right: Anna Marie Johnson seated with Jennie Johnson standing between parents and Frank Johnson seated. Back row left to right Emil Johnson and Hilda Johnson. I don't know why the girl's hair is cut so short.
