Bror Arrhenius when he was 13 years old he was a student learning how to play the organ. He went to Stockholm when he was 17 years old and worked at the dock in the harbor to get money for his music lessons at the Royal Music Acadamy. He studied there 7 years. He had a beutiful baryton voice. He was already hired by the Royal Opera in Stockholm to sing in the year 1900. First as a singer in a choir and later as a solist. He took the family name Arrhenius the 5 December 1901.Bror put his first choir together when he was 16 years old. Two years later he got his Organist and singing examen. He toured Sweden and Europe singing. Bror was employed at the Royal Opera in Stockholm 35 years. When Jussi Björling the famous Swedish tenor was young, he and grandfather sung together touring Sweden.Bror Arrhenius was also a conductor and started many choirs. In 1907 he started Mercurii Ordens mans choir and toured Europe. They went to Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Checkoslovakia. Bror was also conductor at Adolf Fredriks Cathedral in Stockholm with the famous Adolf Fredrik Choir. He was also the founder and conductor of the Turebergs mans choir.
His choirs performed many times for the King and Queen of Sweden.
Bror Arrhenius was conducting the Olympic choir at the1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm and he participated on the Swedish tug and war team that won gold medal. It was a exhibition sport for all of the musicians that participated from different countries.
