Newspaper obituary - Transcript: "Emma W. Mitchell Dies After Long Illness - Mrs. Emma Wilson Mitchell, 72, died Tuesday after an extended illness, at her home, 631 North 7th East Street in Payson.
She was born April 23, 1869 in England, a daughter of Anthony and Sarah Clifford Wilson. Her father died in England and she came to Utah with her mother and a brother when three years of age. Her mother married James Finlayson in whose home she was reared.
She was married to Philip John Mitchell at Payson in 1887 and later in the Manti Temple. He died in 1908.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: John and Wilson Mitchell of Payson; David L. Mitchell of Los Angeles; Mrs. Ireta Argyle of Randolph; and Mrs. Sarah Barnett of Provo; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jesse Finlayson of Payson; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Coombs and Mrs. Alice Hill of Payson; Mrs. Maggie Tolman of Santa Clara; and Mrs. Roxy Burchett of Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the 4th ward chapel with Bishop George Francom in charge. Interment will be in Payson City cemetery under the direction of the Claudin Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home, 64 West 1st North until Saturday at 10 a.m. and then at the home of a son, John Mitchell, 70 N. 3rd East until time of the services."
