Looking for Dutch ancestors: the basics

Genealogical research in the Netherlands is no longer too difficult for many. Archives have digitized sources and put them online. Individual researchers or volunteers have made transcripts and indexes. Despite all the information on the internet, it is sometimes still difficult to get to a good start. What should you take into account? What is different about research in the Netherlands than, for example, in your own country? Which sources and data, but also customs and traditions do or do not exist in the Netherlands? This presentation provides an answer to these questions, which often arise among beginners.
