This is a collection of records from the Louisville Children's home in Jefferson County, Kentucky for years 1866-1938. This collection contains records for several different institutions that merged in the early 1900s. An explanation of these records can be found at the beginning of each film. Some records are arranged alphabetically. The microfilm of the original records is located at the Jefferson County Department of Human Services in Louisville, Kentucky. At the time the collection was microfilmed to two volumes (History Book 2 & History Book 13) were unavailable. The volumes are available at The Filson Historical Society, 1310 South Third Street, Louisville, Kentucky, 40288.
