Richard William Bolton and Vina Elizabeth McMinn: This monument in the Cooley Cemetery, Manchester, outside Guntersville, AL, Marshall County, Alabama is of my Great Grandparents. Detailed data in America for Richard W. Bolton is picked up at Warrenton for the first time in Marshall, Alabama, USA in the 1850 U. S. Census. I recently obtained 5 official records that show his service in the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. I would like to correspond with you. I know that many branches of the families connected to the Bolton, Cooley, McMinn, etc., lines moved to Texas. My Father was Albert Allie "Al" Cooley and my Mother was Hallie Lee Alexander Cooley. Al's Father was Robert Cooley and his Mother was Ellen Jane Bolton, Daughter of Richard William Bolton and Vina Elizabeth McMinn. They married in Marshall County, Alabama, first settled in the Manchester area of the County, and lived there all their lives. I posted Newspaper clippings to rootsweb for them in Marshall County, Alabama. I have more data on the families and would like to correspond with you about them. I am writing this from memory at 3:23 A.M., Thursday, 13 January 2011. Please contact me. May God Bless and Keep You and Your Family!
