Martha SORRELL, 72 died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at her residence. She was the former Martha

BELL, a native of Nelson County, a retired cashier for Kroger Co., and a member of Southeast

Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. SORRELL Jr.; and her parents, Joe C. and

Ruth Jones BELL.

Survivors include, a daughter, Nina GRUBER of Williamsburg, Va., two sons, Joseph SORRELL

III and Andy SORRELL; a brother, Joe BELL; five sisters, Ann ADAMS, Ruth WIGGINTON, Betsy

BELL, Caroline HALL and Mary SORRELL; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of

Louisville.

Funeral services were on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at 11 a.m. at Highlands Funeral Home,

3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville. Entombment was at Resthaven Mausoleum. Highlands Funeral

Home was in charge of the arrangements.
