Pauline D. Bugg, 63, of 2110 New Dixville Road, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born May 7, 1936 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Ruby Devine. She was the widow of Donald Bugg. She was a rural mail carrier and a member of the Benton Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons, Steve and Mark Bugg; one daughter, Robin Bugg; one brother, William Devine; three sisters, Edna Bradley, Alberta Bugg and Mrs. Tommie (Frances) Hill; two grandchildren, all of Mercer County. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cleo Bugg. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 26, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with John David Lane and Ernest Martin officiating. Burial was in the Patterson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Orban Mayes, Garnett Ruble, Roy Bugg, Donald E. Logue, Louis Benge, Tommie Hill, Lynn Logue, Gary Durr and Ellsworth Smoot. Honorary bearers were nephews and men of Benton Baptist Church.
