Since coming home Monday on hospice care mom has been declining each day. She has not been eating and only takes a few liquids by sucking on a mouth swab soaked in water or juice. She is aware of everyone around her and is able to let us know when she needs pain medication or her mouth is dry. The pain medication (morphine) helps her sleep and relax. We are keeping her as comfortable as possible and when she is awake we will sit with her and talk to her. She is aware of us being there but not able to talk. Hospice care has told us it could be any day now or could be several weeks. Please keep her in your prayers and we will keep everyone updated.
