Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Howland families in America, with focus on the descendants of John Howland (ca. 1592-1672) and Elizabeth Tilley (ca. 1606-1687). John was a Pilgrim, and the son of Henry Howland and Anne Margaret Aires. Elizabeth was the daughter of the Pilgrims John Tilley and Elizabeth Lancaster. In 1620, their families left England and came to America on the ship Mayflower. John and Elizabeth were married in 1623, and had twelve children, some of whom died young. Those who reached adulthood were Desire, John, Hope, Elizabeth, Lydia, Hannah, Joseph, Jabez, Ruth, and Isaac. The family moved to Maine in 1632. Later John and Elizabeth settled in Plymouth, at Rocky Nook, Kingston, Massachusetts, where they lived in their later years. Descendants also lived in Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec (Canada), Cuba, Denmark, Spain, and in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., Wisconsin, and elsewhere.

William Purnell Lambertson, son of William Franklin Lambertson and Ida Arua Brown, was born in 1880 in Fairview, Kansas. He married Floy Lillian Thompson, daughter of Francis Edward Thompson and Mary Jane Caswell, in 1908 in Republic, Kansas. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Indiana, Iowa and Kansas.

Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Yonges (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England and Wales. Many descend from the Welsh Yonges of Brynyorkin and Tudor Trevor. Focus is on (but not limited to) ancestors and descendants of Rev. Christopher Yonges (d. 1626), the vicar of the Church of St. Edmunds in Southwold, Suffolk County, England. He married Margaret ca. 1600, and had five children, including Revered John, Captain Joseph, Christopher Jr., and Martha. They first immigrated to Salem, Massachusetts ca. 1638. In 1640, they founded Southold in the County of Suffolk. Southold was the first English colony in the State of New York. They also established the First Presbyterian Church of Southold. Their descendants and other Youngs also lived in Nova Scotia (Canada), and in California, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and elsewhere.

Skousen family news : info for kinfolks - v. 6, no. 4 (Sept. 1961)

Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Skousen families in who came mainly from the areas of Randers and Vejle Ant in Denmark. One ancestor mentioned is Soren Nielsen Skousen (b. 1712), the son of Niels Olafson (b. 1678), both of whom were born in Vejle Ant in southern Jutland, Denmark. Another ancestor mentioned is Djursland Skousen. Some focus is on the family of James Niel Skousen or Jens Nielsen Skousen (1828-1912) who married (1) Cecile Marie Pedersen or Laursen and (2) Anna Hansen. They were converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons), and left Denmark for Salt Lake City in 1862. Some descendants were sent to colonize Chihuahua, Mexico. Others moved into Alberta, Canada.
