William Knowlton and his family emigrated from Chiswick, England to Nova Scotia in 1632/1633. He died en route, and his widow and children immigrated to Ipswich, Massachusetts during or before 1639. Descendants and relatives lived in New England and elsewhere.

The Amidon family : a record of the descendants of Roger Amadowne of Rehoboth, Mass.

Roger Amadowne (d.1673), a Huguenot, emigrated from France to England, where he spent about five years, and then immigrated by 1637 to Salem, Massachusetts. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Amidon) and relatives lived in New England, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, North Carolina and elsewhere.

The Hazen family in America : a genealogy

Edward Hazen (1614-1683) was born at Cadney, Lincolnshire, England, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Hassen. He was living at Rowley, Massachusetts, by 1647. His first wife, Elizabeth, died at Rowley in 1649. He married 2) Hannah Grant (1631-1715/6), daughter of Thomas and Jane Haburne Grant, at Rowley in 1650. They had eleven children, 1650/1-1698, born at Rowley. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, and elsewhere.

The descendants of Jöran Kyn of New Sweden

"Joran Kyn, one of the earliest European residents upon the river Delaware, and for more than a quarter of a century the chief proprietor of land at Upland, New Sweden, afterwards Chester, Pennsylvania, was born in Sweden about A. D. 1620. He came to America in company with Governor John Printz, in the ship Fama, which "sailed from Stockholm," ... on the 16th of August, 1642 ... [and] on the 15th of February, 1643, ... came up to Fort Christina, in New Sweden, Virginia."--P. 8. He eventually settled on " ... the eastern bank uf Upland Kill, now Chester Creek ... "--P. 10 in Deleware County, Pennsylvania where he remained for the rest of his life. He was married, but his wife's name is unknown, as is his date of death. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and elsewhere.

John Jacob Link (Hans Jacob Linckh) was born at Grossgarthach near Heilbronn, Germany on 20 October 1682. He married Elizabeth König in 1708, and Anna Magdalena Neuwirth in 1720. They immigrated to Philadelphia in 1733, and settled in Oley Hills, Pennsylvania. He died in 1738. Descendants have resided throughout the United States.
