The Butterworth family of Maryland and Virginia : a genealogy and history of the Butterworth family for more than three hundred years, including allied families of Bond, Clark, Clement, Gilbert, Webster, Wheeler and many others

Isaac Butterworth was born in 1734 in England and immigrated to Bedford Co., Virginia. He married Avarilla Gilbert, and died in 1766. His son, Benjamin, was born that same year, and in 1786 married Rachel Moorman; he died in 1833.

The John Gray Blount papers; v. 03

John Gray Blount was born in 1752 in North Carolina. He and his two brothers were in business and had much political influence because of their positions. He married Mary Harvey in 1778 and was a man of great statue in colonial North Carolina.
