Henry Burton Smith

Henry Burton Smith was born at Hancock, Delaware Co., New York, in 1872. He was the son of William Harrison and Lucy Delphine Smith. The family moved from New York to Kansas City, Missouri, and then to Denver, Colorado. Henry remained in Colorado when his parents returned to Missouri. In 1896 he married Mary Johnson (1869-1946) in Denver. She was born in Smoland, Sweden, the daughter of Oscar and Mary Johnson.

"The olden days"

Frances Edna Johnson, daughter of George Whitfield Johnson and Luemma Holland, was born in 1910 near Gilmer, Texas. She married Gorge Thomas in 1938 in San Gabriel, California. She died in 1995.

John James Wells was born 6 May 1822 at Spring Garden, Graves End, Kent Co., England to John and Mary Wells. He emigrated to America, then returned to England to marry Catherine West, 25 Jan 1869. They emigrated to Chase County, Kansas in 1871. Their children were George, Mary E., Thomas R. Wells. John James died 4 June 1904 at Middle Creek, Chase County, Kansas.

Life history of Carl Edward Johnson (1867-1947) and Maria Bengtsdotter (1856-1928)

Carl Edvard Johansson (1867-1940) was the son of Johan Abrahamson and his second wife, Ingrid Maria Jonsdotter Flink. Carl immigrated in 1887 from Sweden (possibly via Minnesota) to Ogden, Utah. He anglicized his name to Carl Edward Johnson, and married Maria Bengsdotter or Benson in 1892. They later settled in Sandy, Utah and were Lutherans. Includes some ancestry and family history in Älmeboda parish, Kronoberg County and in some parishes in Halland County, Sweden.

It is believed that Roger Daniel and his son, Roger Daniel, Jr., came from Barbados and settled in Virginia before 1644. They are both believed to have been born in England. The young Roger was the father of three children who settled in Virginia, and later in North Carolina and South Carolina. Record lists family members of each generation but chiefly traces line of descent to William Daniel (1743-1840). He was born in North or South Carolina the son of John and Sarah Reven Daniel. He married twice and was the father of twenty four children. The family was living in Clarke County, Georgia, by 1787. Descendants listed lived in Georgia, Alabama and elsewhere.

(1859-1868). Nancy and William both died in Edwards, New York. Includes births, marriages and deaths of relatives and neighbors.
