Annual programs for the reunions of the Hencely Family Organization, who are descendants of Major Wesley Thompson Hencely (1813-1861) and Tabitha Taylor Henceley (1821-1886). Both Wesley and Tabitha were born in South Carolina. Welsely was the son of William Samuel and Mary Hencely. Tabitha was the daughter of John and Eady Broadway Taylor. In 1841, Wesley married Tabitha in Monroe County, Georgia. They established the Hencely Plantation on Dames Ferry Road in the Middlebrooks District of Monroe County,Georgia. Nine children were born to them at the plantation from 1843-1860. Their children were John Samuel, Wesley Decale, Frances Ann E., Elihu Thomas, (Rev.) Benjamin Lewis, Elizabeth Cynthia Oregon, Patrick Henry, William Jeremiah, and Sally Tabitha Hencely. Some died young during the Civil War era. Welsey and Tabitha died and are buried at their plantation home. Most descendants remained in Georgia, although some moved to Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, and elsewhere. Programs include many photographs and vital information about Welsey T. Hencely, Tabitha Taylor Hencely, and their descendants through the late 1900's.
