모든 마이크로필름은 디지털화되었으며 마이크로피시는 현재 디지털화 과정을 거치는 중입니다. 마이크로필름이나 마이크로피시의 이미지가 FamilySearch.org에서 아직 디지털로 제공되지 않는 이유는 다음과 같습니다:
- 마이크로피시가 향후 스캔을 위해 예약돼 있을 수 있습니다.
- 마이크로필름 또는 마이크로피시가 스캔 되었으나 계약, 데이터 개인 정보 보호 또는 기타 제한 사항으로 인해 이용이 제한되어 있을 수 있습니다. 패밀리서치는 기록 보관 기관 및 관련 법률의 결정에 따라 기록 이용을 가능하게 하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다.
- 마이크로필름과 마이크로피시의 디지털 이미지를 이용하려면 패밀리서치 센터나 패밀리서치 도서관에 가야 할 수도 있습니다. 일부 이미지를 이용하려면 패밀리서치 계정에 로그인해야 할 수도 있습니다.
