Many marriage certificates have the license information on the front and the marriage certification information on the back.

Volumes 1-3 contain also records of town meetings, freemen's meetings, school district reports, adoptions, and other miscellaneous town records. Volumes 2-3 also include some town records for Deweysburg, a town which was divided between Danville and Peacham in 1810.

Some certificates are out of chronological order.

Additional indexes are found within some volumes.
