He was born of Jewish parents. Studied ballet at University of Munich; received a Doctorate of Science in 1929 and his second Doctorate in 1966 at the University of Utah. He was a cosmopolitan person who had many interesting experiences. For instance his life was saved from a Nazi trap in 1933 thanks to some prostitutes. In Israel, he became well acquainted with Ali Khan, who was married to Rita Hayworth. He was a writer, a musician, a scholar, a humanitarian and especially a lover of the minorities.
