Funeral services for Mrs. Iris Jane McCann DeSoto will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel, Ball, Louisiana with Rev. Kevin Paul officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Pineville, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. DeSoto, age 63, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Grace Home in Alexandria, Louisiana.
She was member of Alpine Baptist Church and worked as a hairdresser and Bookkeeper for several years. Mrs. DeSoto loved her family and their special times while attending LSU football games.
Mrs. DeSoto was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis George DeSoto.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Douglas DeSoto (Heather) of Ft. Worth, TX., a daughter, Jessica J. DeSoto of Ball, LA., a brother, Doug McCann (Sharon) of Houston, TX., a sister Letty McCann of Tioga, La. and a granddaughter Ashley Lowery of Ft. Worth, TX., several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
