Renz Marion D. Katigbak

Renz Marion D. Katigbak is a Philippine history enthusiast and family history researcher. He studied at De La Salle Lipa from elementary through college, except for his first year of high school, which he spent at St. Francis de Sales Minor Seminary. After earning his BS in Tourism in 2010, he delved into researching Lipa’s old families using late 18th- and 19th-century archival records. While tracing his family tree, he discovered the memoirs of a Spanish military doctor detailing the Siege of Lipa, which he co-translated with Br. Manuel R. Pajarillo and published as a book in 2024.

Before migrating to the United States in 2011, he was a Lipa City Tourism and Museum Council member and contributor to the coffee table book "Peaks and Valleys: The Story of Lipa (2012)". Now based in California, he continues to share his research through his website, Herencia Lipeña, and his Facebook page, Kasaysayan ng Lipa.
