Donald Shores

Donald will being speaking at RootsTech for the first time this year. Donald has a lifelong interest in genealogy and has spent the last 3 years doing extensive research into his roots. Donald's interest was sparked during a conversation with hid dad about Donald's paternal 2nd great grandfather. This ancestor quickly became and still is Donald's personal hero. Donald has also been working closely with his DNA matches to further his research efforts. Donald is also working on a book about his 2nd great grandfather's life from enslavement to his life as a freedman. Donald will also be launching a podcast in 2023. Donald plans to have professional genealogists as his guests as well as beginners. Donald wants to make his podcast a destination for those who want to both to tell their personal family history and stories as well as those who love a good story. Donald is looking forward to both speaking at RootsTech as well as attending the various sessions being offered.
