Chiefly ancestors and relatives of the author. Bruce Randolph Klingaman was born in 1943 at East Chicago, Indiana, the son of Ernest Donald Klingaman (b. 1920) and Mildred Francis St. Clair Klingaman (1923-1991). His family moved to Richland Center, Wisconsins, while he was an infant and to Chicago, Illinois, area in 1951. He married Patricia Anne Quinn in 1963 at Steger, Illinois. They had three children, 1964-1967. Their son died as an infant. The family moved from the Chicago area to Framingham, Massachusetts; then Bangor, Maine; then Rock Hill, South Carolina. He and his wife were divorced in 1988. He married 2) Vera Jeanette McKenzie Black at Charlotte, North Carolina. Daughters live in South Carolina with their husbands.

Ancestors include: Philip Klingaman (1749-1774) of German and Reading, Pennsylvania -- William Andrew Lounsbury (1846-1931) of New York City, Illinois, and Wisconsin -- Thomas Chettwood [Chitwood] (fl. 1650) of London, England, and Lancaster County, Virginia -- Issac St. Clair (ca. 1736-1829) of Beford County, Virginia -- William N. Myers (m. 1843) of Virginia and Tennessee -- Samuel James (1801-before 1891) of Hartford, Kentucky.
