Arranged in alphabetical order by the first letter of the surname within each year. Some list are divided by district and then alphabetical within the district. Lists give name of person taxed or tithed, type and amount of taxable property, amount of tax, and the county statistics.

Personal property book, 1930, includes 1931 land corrections, 1933 intangibles, 1932 r.e. charges, 1930-1931 poll tax, 1931 fees and other information.

Personal property book, 1934, includes intangibles and 1935 tax list.

Microfilm of copies and photostat copies at the Virginia State Library in Richmond, Virginia, and original records at the Mathews County Courthouse in Mathews, Virginia.
