"This church was organized in 1630 in Plymouth, England, and its organization was brought to Windsor by the first settlers of the town. A second society was established May 1668 within the limits of this society. Part was set off as East Windsor Society in 1696. Part was set off as Poquonock Society in 1724. Part was set off as Windsor North Society October 1759, and reunited with this society May 1792. The early records of church and society are meager.".
