I love reading Grandma's journals and hearing her stories, thoughts and feelings in her hand writing ...

I've been loving reading my Grandma's journals. I love reading about the good and hard times she had in her life. I love that her journals are so detailed. She talks about what she did each day along with how she felt. What a blessing her journals are for us to have. I love that when she or her loved ones were struggling with things she turned to God in prayer. I love that she went to the temple often with friends. I love that she was a hard worker. I love that even when Grandma had really hard things going on in her life she loved her family and continued on. My Grandma Gayla Kendall is my hero! I love her and love feeling close to her as I read her journals.

"I went up and talked to Shelley - gave her some Avon Pearls and Lace perfume. We had a good visit. I sure love her a lot. Mike is lucky to have Shelley. I saw twins and Teresa. Little cutie pies!! Mike gave me a check for 25.00 — Bless him"

Talking about a family get together... "It was fun to all be together - 24 grandkids - wonder if Grandma was watching (and Grandpa). We ate - barbecued, salads too and Shelley's brownies - Yummy - a nice playground - older kids got carried away with water later."
