Chiefly contains two histories of members of the Schneller family serving as missionaries in St. Kitts and in Palestine.

George Carl [or Charles] Schneller and his wife, Hannah Miller, and their two children, arrived at St. Kitts, an island in the West Indies, in 1788, ten years after the beginning of the mission. They had been serving as missionaries at Antigua. They had three children born on St. Kitts, 1789-1793; two died as infants. After serving on St. Kitts for twenty five years, the mission had grown from 100 to 3000 people. The family returned to Europe in 1813. Includes some some notes, that seem to be for this family, taken from old handwritten notes. Great grandfather, Charles Henry Schneller [same as George Charles?] was born at Dresden, Saxony in 1740. Great grandmother, Hannah Miller, was born at Fairfield, England, in 1750. Grandfather, Charles Schneller, was born in St. Croix or Antigua. [Record states that George Charles Schneller was born on St. Kitts in 1790]. Charles George Schneller was an early settler in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania.

Includes a copy of a paper, "The Syrian orphans' home : a missionary institution in the Holy Land." / by Rev. J.H. Horsemann, St. Louis. Johann Ludwig Schneller and his bride, arrived in Jerusalem in 1854, in response to a call from Pastor Spittler of Basel, Switzerland, to take charge of a missionary training school. After the Syrian massacre of 1860, he established an orphans' home to care for those orphaned Syrian children. It was supported from funds from Germany and Switzerland. Johann Ludwig Schneller died in 1896 and the management of the home was taken over by his son, Theodore Schneller.

Also includes Sneller inscriptions from the Eastbrook Village Cemetery, Levy County, Florida. Peter O. Sneller (1842-1925) was born in Moravia, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, and died at Montbrook, Levy County, Florida. His wife, Nancy Epperson Sneller (1853-1923), is buried by him. A note states that the couple had six children, all living in 1962.
