"The history of New Haven Colony begins shortly prior to its establishment with a description of the conditions in England and the inducements acting on the emigrants. Ir continues with a comprehensive account of the development of the six towns that comprised the Colony: Branford, Guilford, Milford, New Haven, Stamford, and Southhold (LI). The history ends with the absorption of the Colony into Connecticut in 1664"--Verso of back cover.
Volume 1 (xii, 1-384 p.) contains chapters 1-16; volume 2 contains chapters 17-21(p. 385-767) and includes 7 appendices and the supplementary histories.
