Area Deaths

MICHAEL PETROF

GRASSFLAT — Michael Pet­

rof, 77, a resident of Grassflat,

died Wednesday at 10 p. m. at the

Philipsburg State Hospital, where

he had been a patient for the

past month.

He was born in Czechoslovakia,

July 31, 1876, and was employed

as a coal miner prior to his retire­

ment.

Mr. Petrof was preceded in

death by his wife, Nancy, who

died in 1947. He is survived by

two daughters and three sons:

Mrs. Mary Pittinger of Williams-

port; Mrs. Pauline Bosak, Grass-

flat; Emery, Grassflat; Michael,

Cleveland, Ohio; and Anthony,

North Olmstead, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held

Saturday, February 13, from the

Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic

Church at Grassflat. Rev. E. Tuto-

kie will officiate". Interment will

follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the home

of Mrs. Joseph Bosak at Grassflat

from tonight until time of the

services.
