Why are my ancestor's siblings listed out of order?

If a child shows out of birth order in Family Tree, check the birth date. As needed, select a standardized version of the date. The system decides the order based on the standard date. 

Steps (website)

1. Navigate to the Person page.
2. In the Details tab, under the Vitals section, find the birth date.
3. Click the Edit icon . 
4. Enter the date and place of birth and the reason that the information is correct.
5. Click Save.
6. Repeat for each child. 

Steps (mobile app)

1. Navigate to the Person page.
2. In the Details tab, under the Vitals section, tap the birth date, and then tap Edit.
   
   • If no birth date is available, in the lower right, tap the white "+" in a circle.
3. Enter the date and place of birth and the reason that the information is correct.
4. Tap Save.
5. Repeat for each child. 

Steps (Family Tree Lite)

1. Navigate to the Person page.
2. Under Birth, click the birth date, and then click Edit.
   
   • If no birth date is available, click Add.
3. Enter the date and place of birth and the reason that the information is correct.
4. Click Save.
5. Repeat for each child.
