If a child shows out of birth order in Family Tree, check the birth date. As needed, select a standardized version of the date. The system decides the order based on the standard date.
Steps (website)
- Navigate to the Person page.
- In the Details tab, under the Vitals section, find the birth date.
- Click the Edit icon .
- Enter the date and place of birth and the reason that the information is correct.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for each child.
Steps (mobile app)
- Navigate to the Person page.
- In the Details tab, under the Vitals section, tap the birth date, and then tap Edit.
- If no birth date is available, in the lower right, tap the white "+" in a circle.
- Enter the date and place of birth and the reason that the information is correct.
- Tap Save.
- Repeat for each child.
Steps (Family Tree Lite)
- Navigate to the Person page.
- Under Birth, click the birth date, and then click Edit.
- If no birth date is available, click Add.
- Enter the date and place of birth and the reason that the information is correct.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for each child.
