What features are on my home page?

The FamilySearch home page offers ways to discover your ancestors and share family memories.

When you sign in to your FamilySearch Account, personalized opportunities appear on the home page:

  • All Collections Search. Check for your family in historical records, Family Tree, and more with one powerful search.
  • Hints. Links to documents that could mention one of your ancestors. You can review and attach the document to Family Tree as sources.
  • Recommended Tasks. Things you can do right now to further your family history work, from attaching historical documents to filling in gaps in your family tree.
  • Recent People. A list of the people in Family Tree whose records you recently viewed. At the end of this list is an option to add an unconnected person to Family Tree.
  • To-do-list. A tool to help you track family history assignments or goals.
  • Added memories. Photos, documents, and stories recently added by other users to your family tree.
  • Other information boxes on the home page link to features on FamilySearch that perhaps you have not yet tried.
