When a new printer arrives, please follow all instructions that come with it.
Shipping
New Lexmark printers ship to the stake temple and family history consultant—FamilySearch center to take to the center and set up.
Setup
If the equipment is too heavy to lift, please contact your local stake technology specialist to help you. If one is not available, please contact local priesthood leadership for assistance. For more information, please contact FamilySearch Support.
Damaged printer
If the printer arrives in a damaged condition, please contact FamilySearch Support.
User manual
The user manual is on a CD in the packaging of the printer. If you cannot find it, you can download user manuals and other equipment information from Lexmark.com, under Support and Downloads. Use the device model to find the manual.
Old printers
To determine if any old printers should be kept or disposed of, contact your local facilities management office.
North America Only: When you receive a new printer, please dispose of all old printers in the FamilySearch center. Contact your local facilities management office and ask them to remove the old printers.
Digital Imaging Systems (DIS) no longer require a dedicated printer.
Request a printer
If your center needs an additional printer, submit a Hardware Request from the FamilySearch Center Resource page.
We provide color printers only to the large centers. If you want to request a color printer, you can fill out a Hardware Request.
