A duplicate image is another photo or a retake of a previous image in the same batch. The duplicate and the original images are both images of the same document or combination of documents, not merely two images of similar documents or two images of documents about the same people.
If an image is a duplicate of a previous image in the same batch, type the information in the data entry area for the first image, and mark the second image as a duplicate.
To mark an image as a duplicate, do the following:
Steps
- Make sure the small drop down menu in the top left corner of the screen is set to Step 1: Images.
- If necessary, click Next Image until you see the duplicate image in the main viewing window.
- In the column on the left is a question, "Should this image be indexed?" In the drop-down menu below the question, select No, Duplicate Image.
Note: If an image in a batch is a duplicate of an image in the previous batch, it cannot be marked as a duplicate and should be indexed normally.
