George Best was born in Texas in 1879. He moved to Oklahoma where in 1904 he married Florence Rena Merts. They had 10 children and raised 9 to adulthood. Information on the family's early history is given by these children and family group sheets for their ancestors are also included with some background information on these families. Descendants have remained in the Oklahoma area to the present time.
Includes Best, Merts, Slaton, VanKirk, Ward, Marion, Johnson, Mills, Glover, and related families.
