Biographies and family history of George Ware Palmer Jr. (1861-1929) and Agnes (Preston) Palmer, his wife. George was born at Fall River, Massachusetts, and was a sailor from 1879 to 1885 (v. 2 contains his sea logs, family letters, etc.). He married Agnes in 1887, having become an electrial engineer working for Thomas Edison, then working at various city electrical industries, and finally establishing (and owning) the electrical power plant in Quincy, Massachusetts. His immigrant ancestor was William Palmer Jr. (1613-1635/1636), who immigrated in 1621 from England to Plymouth, Massachusetts, and married Elizabeth Hodgkins in 1633. Includes family history and genealogical data about ancestry in England, and descendants and relatives in New England, New York and elsewhere.

Includes Clarkson, Eastman, Hall, Haworth, James, Piper, Sears, Warren and related families.
