Notakuéra

John Holeman, Sr. was born ca. 1770 in Rowan County, North Carolina. He was the ninth child of thirteen born to Isaac Holeman, Sr. and Mary Benton. His wife was Margaret Sigler (born ca. 1773), the daughter of John Sigler and Nancy Agnus Wales, of Loudon County, Virginia. Their ancestors came mainly from England and France. Around 1803, John moved from North Carolina to Tennessee, and about 1808, he moved into Caldwell County, Kentucky, where both he and his wife died ca. 1856. Focus is on John and Margaret's fourteen children, and their later descendants. Some of their descendants married persons with Cherokee and Chickasaw bloodlines. Others were adopted. During the 1800's, some of their family lived in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma (Indian Territory), Tennessee, and Texas. Later descendants and related families also lived in Japan, Singapore, and in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington, West Virginia, and elsewhere.

Also includes Hailman, Haleman, Holdman, Holiman, Holloman, Hollyman, Holman, Wholeman, and other variant spellings.

Also includes Arnold, Austin, Baker, Bryant, Busler, Campbell, Clayton, Clinton, Crider, Drennan, Graham, Hicks, Hodson, Horning, Jeffries, Johnson, Jones, Martin, Mason, McClendon, Mitchell, Moore, Morse, Nall, Orange, Plowman, Roles, Shelton, Sigler, Smith, Talley, Wade, and other related families.
