The ancestors of the 31st president of the United States, Herbert Clark Hoover, who was born 10 Sep 1874 in West Branch, Iowa. His parents were Jesse Clark Hoover (1846-1880) and Hulda Randall Minthorn (1848-1884). He married Lou Henry on 10 Feb 1899 in Monterey, California. Herbert died in New York on 20 Oct 1964. The descendants of Andrew Hoover, born Andreas Huber, who came to the United States from the Palatinate in 1783 and established this Hoover line in America. Andrew was born in 1723 in the Rhenish Palatinate and died about 1794.
