Notakuéra

"The Morfords came from Scotland and settled in New Jersey. Thomas, the oldest of whom we have any record was born in 1716, died in 1797. His wife, Ann, was from Ireland. She was born in 1718, died in 1799." They had nine children, born 1742-1762. Their son, James Morford (1753-1809), married Ann Clawson in 1772. They had six children, 1775-1784. The family migrated to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, in the 1790s. John Morford (1757-1840), another son of Thomas and Ann Morford and a Revolutionary War soldier, married Mary Cox in 1780. They had eight children, 1781-1801. The family settled near James Morford in Pennsylvania. Descendants of these brothers lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, and elsewhere.

Includes the Bently, Mowery, McMahan, and other related families.
