Members of the Osborne family settled in what eventually became West Virginia before the American Revolution. There members of the family intermarried with descendants of Peter Lohr (1750-1841) who was originally of Augusta County, Virginia where a number of descendants still live. Other descendants married into the Budd and Keenan families. Patrick Keenan emigrated from ireland and settled first in Tinkling Springs, Augusta County, Virginia but later moved to Monroe County, Virginia (now West Virginia). Descendants live in West Virginia, Virginia and other parts of the United States.
