The county recorder existed from 1863 to 1872 and handled many of the legal documents that the clerk of the county court managed before and after this. Although the county court had been abolished and replaced with a board of supervisors, in many counties it still dealt with cases in secret which may be the source of the title 'recorders court' as no such court seems to have existed.
Fiducaries are people who hold monies for other people, often in connection with a deceased person's estates.
