Notakuéra

Perhaps by Annie L. Wilson, who donated this work to the Genealogical Society Library in 1961.

"The first three pages are taken from 'The Donnells' by Emma A. and James Arthur Donnell" [1912].

Bryan MacDonald was born in Genco, Scotland, in 1645, the son of Alexander MacDonald, chief of Glenco. He and his wife, Mary, were married in 1677. They had seven children, 1679-1693. The family probably went to Ireland for two years and then immigrated to America in 1686, settling at Newcastle, then in Pennsylvania. Their son, John MacDonald/Donnell (b. 1679) married Jane Latham and settled at Cumberland, Pennsylvania. They later migrated to Gulford, North Carolina. Their great grandson, William Alvin Donnell (1816-1899), son of George Donnell (1791-1853), migrated to Bend County, Illinois, from Greensboro, North Carolina, with his family in 1822. He married Calista Hamilton in 1843. They migrated to Donnellson, Iowa, and had eight children, 1845-1861. Descendants listed lived in Iowa, Illinois, California and elsewhere.

Includes the Cary, Benzamin and other related families.
