Compiled from information from Don Philip Hinkle, Berna Wimer Swanson, Carole Blanscet, Genevieve Valder Wimer, Mary Hallquist, Doris Clair, and Florence Nine.

Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of three brothers, Jacob, George, and Philip, who immigrated to America ca. 1771 from Germany. Their parents are believed to have died at sea. Jacob was born ca. 1740-1754 and died before 6 Oct 1824. He never married. George was born in 1756. He married Elliner between 1777 and 1779 in Franklin, Virginia. She was born in 1759 in Loudoun County, Virginia. He died in 1828. She died ca. 1850 in Highland County, West Virginia. They were the parents of ten children. Philip was born ca. 1757. He married Sarah Simmons 24 Mar 1785 in Augusta County, Virginia. He died 9 Apr 1840. They were the parents of nine children. Descendants of these men live throughout the United States.
