John Houseman married Martha Frost and lived in Frederick Co., Maryland, near Winchester where their children were born. Their eldest son William married Abigail Britton in 1803. In 1804, they moved their family to Ross Co., Ohio. Later, they moved to Madison Co. in 1812. They were the parents of ten children. William and Abigail were the parents of nine children. Several generations of descendants are given.

Includes Kanzler, Britton, Jones, Peifer, Post and other related families.
